The Department of Aviation at Hampton University is committed to providing a high quality aviation education for all its students with faculty actively involved in advancing the aviation community as a whole. And furthermore we strive to prepare students for meaningful aviation careers within government and the aerospace industry, and to bring to aviation a strong sense of social awareness and responsibility to the public. The Department of Aviation has established itself as a high-quality Bachelor of Science degree program with a national reputation for outstanding graduates. We offer a Bachelor of Science Degrees in Aviation Management, Air Traffic Control, Aviation Electronics, Flight Education, and Aviation Computer Science.
The Department of Aviation maintains the highest academic standards and all 5 degree programs are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International. We keep our students learning experience linked with the aviation industry itself through maintaining good communication with our graduates and through numerous internship programs, not only with the FAA, but also private sectors like NASA and Lockheed Martin. Our graduates are Flight Instructors, airline, corporate, and military pilots; airport and airline managers; air traffic controllers; aviation technicians; aviation entrepreneurs; and administrators in government regulatory agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and state aviation agencies.
